Home: Updates:
April 20, 2004
Okay - here it (finally!) is - new look, some new content, and a "daily" blog! Here's to a brand new year and thanks for stopping by!
November 12, 2003
Still here. No, really. ^_^; Updated links to RichDad.com which were broken due to changes in their back-end. Business is slowly growing, and I have a specific date for retirement (it's a Friday if you're curious). Was working on a new look & feel for this site, but when you are the Webmaster as well as the content provider, things don't go very quickly. Still employed in the Web world, for which I am thankful, given that the company has gone through several layoffs this year. No promises on the next update, because as you can see from my track record this year, you shouldn't believe it anyway. Take care, everyone!

Okay, so much for updates. ^_^; I have updated the
broken RichDad links, so any graphic or link should take you to their site (and link me properly back into their affiliate program). Sorry for the delay on that - I've been traveling for work, and becoming more dedicated to my business (more about that later). I have also passed the 1000 mark - I have less than 1000 days left to retirement, and I'm on track. I hope to give this site a re-design in the next few weeks as parts of it no longer apply, and I have some new info to share. Hope everyone had a good Q1 for 2003.

Happy New Year! This is the first year I'm actually looking forward to.
Not that others years were bad, but they were pretty much more of the
same. 2003, however, is the beginning of the rest of my life. I have a
very clear plan, and among other things, I will be updating this site a
bit more. ^_^
And, because it always starts with a Dream, I've updated my Dreams page.
October 22, 2002
Well ... let's just say a lot has happened in the past 2 months. Small update in the Business section regarding my Work From Home business. Still lots of personal development going on, which means re-thinking a lot of my internal programming, which is no small task. It's amazing how many assumptions and behaviors we take for granted, just because we've always done them. It's very difficult to break out of these life-long patterns, but I do believe the end result is worth it. In the mean time, I need to buy more Kleenex. ^_^;

Well, the New Orleans Extravaganza was very cool, and actually affected me more once I got home than while I was there. It was great to put faces to all of the people I've been talking to over the past month.
Added a Dreams page, so I can keep track off everything I want to do when I get free. I'll updated it whenever I come up with something new (which is actually rather often :).
The businesses are going slowly, but the biggest effort is in the personal development part of my life. This kind of stuff stretches you internally in all kinds of ways, and while it is simple, it is not easy. More later.

Note to self .. .do not take NGR tablet if wanting sleep in the
next few hours. I had dinner really late (like midnight) and thought
nothing of taking my daily tablets (F2, F3, Tang Kuei Plus, NRG), and here I am in the wee hours of
the morning with a whole lot of energy. At least I'm in a house and
won't disturb the neighbors with my home improvements. Now where did I
put that hammer ...
PS. Andrea Bocelli sounds even better really loud. ^_^

All-righty then! Welcome to the new domain (haha) of Kestrel's
Financial Freedom. Many thanks to JT for setting everything up, and to
Kevin for letting me host this site on Greenwood.
So ... now what? I keep working, obviously. I have some ideas for for different
sections, and will be working on those in the next few weeks.
Next Friday through Sunday, however, I will be in New Orleans at the
Herbalife
Extravaganza - big, huge, yearly mega-event. If you are
anywhere near there on Friday night, stop on by the HOM (Herbalife
Opportunity Meeting - it's free and open to everyone and anyone, and you'll get a
glimpse of why this company is so great, and why it will help me achieve
my financial freedom (along with better health and looks!).
Also, some of you regular visitors may have noticed I now have a pop-up
add on the front page. I recently registered a counter with Jellycounter, a free counter
service run by a really nice guy who does this as a hobby. Well, he also needs funding, so I'm
leaving the sponsor pop-up on. Of all the other pop-ups I've seen
attached to other services, this one is pretty un-obtrusive, and I
completely understand the need to find ways to fund your passions.

A little more info in the Herbalife section. The "plan" is to have updates every 2 weeks so you can following my journey to financial freedom, because if I can do it, you can do it too. I've also registered a domain for this site, and it'll be moving over there as soon as everything is ready. I'll put re-directs on existing pages, but look for the new domain hopefully by the next update. And thanks to everyone who has purchased Rich Dad products through this site - my Rich Dad Affiliate commission for May was $83! Not enough to retire on (yet), but it pays for the bandwidth of this site, which is certainly a start.
May 17, 2002
Okay - here we go - lots of new content. I've added a Businesses button with information about my latest endeavors into making more money and creating passive income. Please check it out.

Long time no update, but April has been a hell of a month. I feel I am
very much at a turning point in my life, and we'll see what happens in
the next 90 days. I'll have a full update about what I'm working on up
here in the next week. I have some final details to take care of first.
Thank you for visiting, and I hope to update this site at least once a
month from now on.

My boyfriend and I attended Kim Snider's seminars and will be implementing her Low Risk Income Strategy. I'm really excited about this, and believe it is a much firmer foundation for my early retirement. Also added the half of the first section to Rich Dad, Poor Dad.
February 25, 2002
Added half of the first section to Retire Young, Retire Rich.
Had a great time and learned a lot at the KRLD seminar. I was very
impressed with Kim Snider, and am
attending one of her informational sessions with my boyfriend this coming Wednesday.
February 15, 2002
Updated look and content for this site. I'm also looking forward to
seeing Kiyosaki in person tomorrow, thanks to KRLD's Managing Your Money Senimar.
Q4 2001
My first page for Kestrel's Financial Freedom goes live. I had just
read about RichDad.com
Affiliate program, and loved the idea of talking
about CASHFLOW and Kiyosaki's books, as
well as earning commissions. It would also be a good way for me to
share my personal journey toward financial freedom, since it will
be so very much inhanced thanks to what I am learning from Robert Kiyosaki.
